Ian McCormack's NDE- A glimpse of Eternity (麥艾仁的死而復生經歷)

Ian McCormack is a New Zealander who loves to explore the world while young and he is an avid lover of diving. One night while diving for lobsters on the small Island of Mauritius, he was stung on his forearm by 5 very poisonous Box-Jellyfish. A single sting from a Box-Jellyfish often can kill a man. For example, 70 people in Australia are known to have died from such stings (see New Scientist).

By the time an ambulance arrived, Ian’s body was totally paralyzed and necrosis had begun to set into his bone marrow. On route to the hospital he began to see his life flash before him. Even though Ian was an atheist then, he didn't know if there was life after death or whether there was just nothing. Amazingly, he saw a vision of his mother (a devoted Christian) praying for him as he laid there dying. He was even encouraged to cry out to God from his heart for help! Ian therefore cried out to God, "(God), I don't even know if you are real, I don't even know if you can hear me. But if you can, I have no idea what to pray. If you can, could you please help me to pray if you hear me?" Immediately, God showed Ian the Lord’s Prayer, and for the first time in his life he prayed from his heart and gave his life to the Lord. This brought about a miraculous happening which entailed Ian’s “near death experience” (NDE) where Ian found himself dead and yet his soul departed from his body. He was initially drawn to hell in the form of a complete darkness with scaring evil spirits surrounding and intimidating him. Ian was so disoriented and fearful! Nevertheless, a radiant beam of light shone through the darkness and immediately began to lift him upward towards an incredibly brilliant beam of pure white light - it seemed to be emanating from a circular opening far above him.

Through the amazing spiritual journey, Ian was ultimately inspired about the presence of God before him. Ian then thought that someone must had made a mistake and brought the wrong person up to God. However, a wave of light swept through him and he felt pure unadulterated Love flow over him. Ian was even more bewildered as he had cursed God’s name, had slept around and was not a good man. The unconditional Love continued to flow over him. Ian just could not help himself from weeping uncontrollably in His Presence. It was so amazing that He had totally forgiven him and accepted him as he was.

Eventually, Ian was given the choice either to return to earth or to enter into paradise before him. At this juncture, God then told him that If he wished to return, he must see things in a new light, i.e. from the perspectives of Love, Forgiveness and God’s Heavenly perspective. Looking back towards the tunnel again he now could see a vision of all his family, and thousands and thousands of other people. Ian asked God who all these people were and Jesus told him that if he didn't return then many of these people would not get a chance to hear about Him and would vanish. After Ian decided to return, God spoke to him, "Son, tilt your head, now feel the liquid drain from your eye. Now open your eye and see." And Ian was immediately back in his physical body.
